EMILY AND JESS DUNES CLUB WEDDING

Emily and Jess were married at the beautiful Dunes Club in Narragansett, Rhode Island. Not a detail was overlooked as they planned an epic three day weekend for family and friends. Narragansett, a place near and dear to bride Emily, was the perfect backdrop to host such an event. I first met Emily and Jess at their engagement session, as they both live out of town. Emily’s parents have a beautiful home overlooking Narragansett Beach and was the perfect spot for their session. It was also where the welcome party and a fun day of beach games was held as well ( more about that in the next blog)  Upon meeting Emily and Jess I was taken back by just how genuinely sweet they were with one another and naturally at ease. I can’t tell you how much fun it was to not only get to know them but also their incredibly kind, warm and fun group of family and friends.  Emily and Jess I wish you a lifetime of happiness together. Thank you so much for having me as your photographer! Cheers!

Aubree and Elizabeth’s Destination Wedding in Narragansett

Aubree and Elizabeth chose Narragansett as the prefect destination for their intimate wedding. While they make their home in Texas they chose the serene beaches of South County to exchange their vows. Blueberry Cove Inn served as the perfect full service bed and breakfast, from flowers, to cake, to officiating the wedding were taken care of by owner Seely. When discussing the plan for the day Aubree and Elizabeth basically left all the timing and locations up to me. (This has never happened, and needless to say I was SOO excited) Of course I chose a time of day when we would have the best evening golden light and the locations I thought would both offer serenity and ocean views. When I arrived that day they were both getting ready together and I felt like I had known them forever. We took pictures and chatted and everything just seemed so natural and calm. After taking some photos at the Inn, the only two guests arrived Elizabeth’s brother Roger and his partner. Then it was off to the beautiful coastline for their photos. While the day tuned out to be more overcast than sunny the sky sure didn’t disappoint.  We had a blast taking their ‘formal’ photos with no pressure to have to be anywhere at any specific time. The love the have for one another is just palpable and made my job such a joy and truly inspiring. After we felt like we had all the photos we wanted to take we met Seely at the Narragasnett Beach and decided to walk to the furthest point on the beach, where Narrow River meets the Ocean. The perfect spot I thought for two lives to join into one. We stopped and took some photos along the way and then when we reached the perfect spot Seely took over and officiated the most beautiful, honest and simple ceremony I have ever experience. I myself was wiping tears away behind my lens. What a perfect way to start a life together. Their happiness and joy was overflowing as they officially became wife and wife. Aubree and Elizabeth it was truly an honor to be a part of such love and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together.

Now Jade, Now Married: Katie and Brendon’s Destination Wedding

Katie and Brendon both shared the dream of a stress-free wedding in an exotic location surrounded by the very closest of their friends and family, and that is exactly what they got.

They decided on the stunningly beautiful resort, The Now Jade Resort and all of their closest friends and family hopped a plane to Mexico for a very special wedding celebration on 12/12/12.  The setting was absolutely perfect, an intimate ceremony took place on the beach with bridesmaids all in different styles and shades of creamy beige carrying parasols as they stood beside their friend and her one true love.

Vows were taken and after Brendon planted that first kiss on his new bride we were able to sneak a few dramatic shots of the bridal party as the sky threatened with an afternoon storm. Taking full advantage of the beautiful grounds at the resort we executed a very romantic shoot of Katie and Brendon in all their newlywedded bliss. The afternoon continued as we arrived back in time for cocktail hour where guests were served signature drinks and appetizers. The celebration only gained momentum inside at the tastefully decorated reception, where guests enjoyed a decadent four course dinner and plenty of dancing. Brendon, a DJ himself self created the entire playlist beforehand, making it that much more special and a true reflection of the couples passion. I must admit it was an honor to be there on such a special day in such a special place. Love and blessings to you both!

While I met Katie and her bridesmaids to capture them getting ready, Aaron my second shooter was able to hang out with the guys in their ocean view room to have some pre ceremony fun.
