The Crystal Ballroom, Monmouth University, New Jersey Wedding Photography
Theresa and Kyle were originally set to be married in New Jersey November 4th 2012. As Hurricane Sandy barreled down the coast that week and threatened NJ with a direct hit, we all remained positive that this would not affect the wedding. As we now know Hurricane Sandy did more damage than anyone could have imagined. It was in fact the perfect storm and devastated the entire state just days before the wedding. Needless to say Theresa and Kyle had to postpone the wedding reception as the venue itself had no power. Now some would think this would stop one from getting married, but Theresa and Kyle were determined to keep their wedding date regardless of the situation. Kyle being a Marine has the instinct to follow thru regardless of the challenge and that’s exactly what they did. In front of their closest friend and family they exchanged vows in the church by candlelight and then gathered at a local bar where they continued this intimate celebration. Theresa and Kyle then were able to carry on with their original plans a month a half later on December 23rd 2012, and celebrate in a very big way with all of their friends and family. I had so much fun photographing this wedding. They sure know how to do weddings in Jersey!!! Theresa and Kyle I wish you a lifetime of happiness together.
After the ceremony we stopped at Woody’s the local bar that was able to host the couple and their family after the exchanged vows the weekend after Hurricane Sandy.
It wouldn’t have been complete with out a quick shot.
Then it was onto Monmouth University for formal pictures. Look familiar? This is where the original Annie was filmed AKA Daddy Warbuck’s Mansion.
A photograph from their original wedding ceremony that took place by candlelight in their church.
