Christine and Fred: Married Hotel Viking: Newport, Rhode Island

I could not think of a better way to start the 2019 season than with Christine and Fred’s Newport wedding. With such a rainy spring we were certainly ready for anything the weather would throw us but once again Newport did not disappoint. We were graced with the most perfect spring day and spring was just bursting in Newport. I met Christine at the Hotel Viking where her sweet bridal party made up of her sister and cousins were getting ready. All morning Christine had the biggest smile and was just beaming with happiness and excitement. Christine and Fred did a first look in historic Queen Anne’s park just a quick walk from The Viking. They were then married in beautiful Kay Chapel in a heartfelt ceremony surrounded by friends and family. The celebration continued at The Viking as guests danced the night away to the amazing band, Take it to the Bridge. So much fun! Christine and Fred, thank you for having me be such a big part of your day. I wish you nothing but love and happiness.

Caitlin and Kevin – Mount Hope Farm Wedding

Caitlin and Kevin were married at the beautiful Mount Hope Farm in Bristol, RI I first met Caitlin and her girls at the Bristol Harbor Inn, right down the street from Mount Hope Farm. It was a warm sunny day with not a cloud in sight.. Kevin and Caitlin shared their first look as the bridal party and closest family looked on. It was very sweet. Kevin, Caitlin and their entire bridal party was by far one of the most fun groups we have ever had the pleasure to work with. After the first look, we all headed to Mount Hope Farm for their beautiful garden ceremony, married under a birch arbor beautifully decorated by Castle and Cottage
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails, yard games and appetizers on the beautiful, picturesque lawn of the farm. After the cocktail hour, celebrations continued in the barn which has a beautiful barn door that opens into the outside adding a rustic, warm feel to the evening.

Caitlin and Kevin thank you so much for having me be a part of your special day. I wish you a lifetime of happiness together.

Emily and Alex Married: Redwood Library, Newport, RI

As avid book lovers, The Redwood Library was the perfect backdrop for Emily and Alex’s Newport wedding. It was a beautiful late fall day and the weather could not have been more perfect. I first met Emily and the girls at the beautiful Gilded Hotel just a block away from the Redwood Library. After doing some portraits at the hotel we walked the short block to meet Alex who was waiting patiently in the beautiful gardens behind the library, making for the perfect, intimate first look. We then took full advantage of the gorgeous day and headed to Bellevue Ave for some timeless portraits with the bridal party. Later, back at the library for an intimate ceremony followed by a wonderful dinner served by the amazing Blackstone caterer. Toasting and dining nestled among the books is certainly something special and unique to this gem of a venue; The Redwood Library. We even made some very special portraits that were very meaningful to both the bride and groom utilizing the artwork and books kept within those library walls. Very special.

Thank you Emily and Alex for having me. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness. Thank you so much for having me.

Tricia and Adam were married on the perfect early fall day at the picturesque Haley Mansion Tricia and Adam decided on the most initmate affair while they pledged their vows to eachother in front of their immediate family nestled in the gardens of Haley Mansion, overlooking the water.
I met Tricia earlier in the day as she was getting ready in one of the mansions grand rooms Jen Hodge did a fabulous job on everyones hair and makeup. Tricia wore a timeless lace gown that seemed just perfect for this elegant affiar in Mystic, CT. I then met Adam as he attended to their two adorable doodles, outfitted in custom bow ties and and leashes. Tricia carried the most stunning all white bouquet designed by Brambles and BittersweetAdam and Tricia shared their first look on the grand stairs leading up to Haley Mansion, as their two sweet pups looked on. Not a detail was overlooked throughout the day. Nautical touches graced the space, as dainty vintage peices adorned the tables overlooking the harbor in Mystic, CT. Tricia and Adam and their two beautiful pups had such a special day and I was so honored to share a part of it with them.

Joe and Rachel’s Providence Public Library Wedding

The Providence Public Library was the perfect backdrop for Rachel and Joe’s big day. Both English majors ,with an avid passion for books and literature.

I met Rachel and her beautiful bridesmaids at the Biltmore Hotel to start the day, while my amazing second shooter photographed the guys. We then set off to the library where Rachel and Joe share their first look, on the libraries epic staircase. The grand, timeless architecture of the library complimented Rachel’s stunning gown, which truly was a showstopper. The delicate lace cathedral train was absolutely breathtaking. Rachel and Joe’s kindness, love and sense of joy emintated throughout the day and radiates right through the photos. Despite the rain outside we stayed warm and dry inside the library as we took full advantage of all the wonderful photo opportunities. Rachel and Joe thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day. I wish you a lifetime of happiness.

Karen and Pat’s Agawam Hunt Club Wedding

Karen and Pat had the most perfect June wedding at the picturesque Agawam Hunt Club in East Providence. Making this even more special was the fact that I have known Karen and Pat since high school, as they were one grade below me at Narragansett High School. Which mean that yes, Karen and Pat have also known eachother since childhood. Something you don’t see everyday as as wedding photographer. They have also kept a very close with the same group of friends over the years, and it truly is very special and pretty awesome.

While Pat and the guys played a round of golf to start the day, Karen and the girls enjoyed the  beautiful bridal suite at Agawam as they had their hair and makeup done. It was the perfect space to get ready in. The ladies, sipped champagne, relaxed and just enjoyed the morning. Once Karen was ready and into her stunning gown, the entire bridal party loaded into golf carts and we made our way to the first look.  What a fun way to get around! We found the most beautiful light for bridal party photos and were back in time for the onsite ceremony. Emotions were high as Karen’s brother walked her down the aisle. Karen and Pat were married by Karen’s a very close family friend, adding yet another layer of intimacy to this incredible special day. Karen carried the most beautiful bouquet, designed by the incredibly talented Rustic Roots Design. Not a dry eye in the place.  The bouquet wrapped delicately with material from Karen’s late mother, and a stunning locket attached in her honor.  After the ceremony guests enjoyed food and cocktails while mingling on the gorgeous lawn and patio at the country club. Once inside guests were wowed by the incredible decor, not a detail overlooked. After dinner guests danced the night away as the party really got started. DJ Ulysses ( who was also Karen and Pat’s beloved high school teacher) kept the dance floor packed the entire night. Karen and Pat, it was truly such an honor to be a part of your special day.  You are two of the warmest, funniest most genuine people I have the pleasure to know. I wish you a lifetime of happiness together.

Michele and Greg: Married: The BOHLIN- Newport, Rhode Island

Michele and Greg were married at The BOHLIN in Newport, RI. Previously known as the Newport Yachting Center. It’s always one of my favorite venues, as it’s just breathtakingly beautiful, with the yachts and docks surrounding the venue, quintessential Newport charm. The rain threatened all afternoon but Michele and Greg were able to hold the ceremony outside before the first rain drops made their way over Newport. It was just perfect. Michele and Greg I wish you a lifetime of happiness together. Thank you for having me be a part of your day.

Marlon and LindsayAnn: Married: Independence Harbor

LindsayAnn and Marlon are two of the sweetest clients I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I first met them a few years ago, LindsayAnn and bridesmaid in the gorgeous wedding of her good friends. I was thrilled when they reached out a year or so later to be their photographer. At our meeting I’ll never forget Marlon showing me this app that helps map out the sun’s exact location ((he is a fantastic photographer himself) Anyone who already has a deep appreciation for light is a gold star in my book!

We had a blast at their engagement session and got to know each other even more. I learned then, just how easy and relaxed they were together. As the days led up to their wedding at Independence Harbor; known for their meticulously manicured gardens it became clear rain was going to be a factor. While the ceremony was moved indoors we were able to sneak some photos outside as the rain let up for a bit, and we ended up with some beautiful, photos. LindsayAnn and Marlon I wish you a lifetime of happiness. Thank you for having me and congratulations on your new life together.

Heather and Matt: Married: Providence Public Library

Heather and Matt had the most romantic winter wedding. I have a special place in my heart for winter weddings, as I had one too. I just love how cozy and warm everything feels, and life perhaps is little slower. I met Heather on her wedding day at Hotel Providence surrounded by her best friends, as well as their amazing dog Opie. Hotel Providence is pet friendly in case you didn’t know and it was so special having Heather get ready with Opie laying around. After final preparations were made we made our way over to Manning Chapel on Brown’s Campus for the ceremony. Heather’s mom walked her down the aisle and I think it may be some of my favorite photos of the day. They were full of joy and laughter the entire way down. It really doesn’t get any better than that. After the ceremony we caught some of the most beautiful winter light before making our way back to the historic Providence Public Library for their reception. The library is such a lovely venue, especially for a winter wedding. The warmth and coziness is ever present. After a cozy dinner in the Ship Room guests were invited downstairs for dancing. The dance floor was full all night long. Truly a celebration in every sense. Heather and Matt’s warmth continued to shine through the night and certainly was shared and felt by everyone in attendance. Heather, Matt ( and Opie) I wish you a lifetime of happiness. Thank you for having me.
